Limited Time Deal on Turbo Tax

February 19, 2014 by Lazy Man 3 Comments

Save Money on Turbo Tax!
Save Money on Turbo Tax!

It’s tax time again! (Wait, that was far too cheery.) It’s tax time again. (Better.)

I can’t do your taxes for you (and trust me you wouldn’t want me to), but I can help soften the blow to wallet with a couple of limited time deals.

The first will help you file your taxes for free with the TurboTax Federal Free Edition. If your taxes are super simple this is the product to get. And yes, I’m very, very jealous of everyone who can use that link.

If your taxes are more complex like mine, you’ll want to use this link to save up to $20 depending on the product you buy. This deal expires February 21st, so if you want it, I’d grab it quickly.

Personally, I’d need the highest level of Turbo Tax available. With military income, a small business, multiple rental properties, and some taxable stock sales, my taxes are particularly “taxing”. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.) If schadenfreude is your kind of thing, that should make you feel better.

TurboTax Winners Announced (and Personal Finance Links)

April 11, 2011 by Lazy Man 4 Comments

I’ve been running around all morning trying to my tax done. Beyond the typical tax duties of getting the paperwork together and writing the checks to Uncle Sam, I have to evaluate how much money I’m going to be able to deposit for my SEP-IRA and whether I’m going to be eligible for a Roth IRA. I got so distracted with everything that I forgot about your taxes. Some of you may be waiting to find out if you won in my TurboTax Give Away.

Since this is later than I hoped to announce, let’s get it out of the way, so we can enjoy our yummy link dessert. The winning commenters were:

Chris Parsons, Just Will, and Sam

It was a bit of a surprise as Nick and Jeff had a lot of ping pong balls with their great tax facts and their haiku. Sam hit the bare minimum with his quick comment. That’s the way the cookie crumbles sometimes.

Here are the links to keep you busy (as if taxes weren’t enough):
