Palm Treo 700P announced

December 14, 2006 by Lazy Man 2 Comments

I’ve always been a huge fan of Palm Treo’s cell phones. If you are unfamilar with these phones, they are like carrying a PC in your pocket. As Trump would say, “I love them, they are they best.”

Palm has announced their latest phone today. It’s nothing revolutionary compared to the Treo 650 in my opinion, but it’s got another round of upgrades. The most important of which is that it uses a new network capable of delivering near DSL speeds of 300-600K. That means you should be able to get whatever information you need wherever you need it and without waiting for 5 minutes for it to download.

The features of the Treo 650 itself are too numerous to mention, but I do have an add-on GPS with maps and voice directions on it. An in car system could cost you $1000. The Treo’s package I have cost me a little over $200.

I’ve had my Pre since shortly immediately after launch and am glad to find (by means of this forum) that I can now set a ring tone on incoming text messages and can search by way of e-mails and this kind of. Now is there any hope for an upcoming release through which I can search my calendar? Would make my career a great deal simpler, obtaining dates of final appointments. No other complaints, except that yesterday I was in and out of Sprint service (not unusual). I think I was roaming, and looked at my calendar. Anything inside the calendar was one particular hour earlier than what I had input. The clock was just one hour early as nicely. I had been frightened to death–then, as soon as we got back into Sprint service again, every little thing was normalized. Has this happened to anybody else?? Seeking forward to answers, but please bear in mind, I’m no techie and speak English rather than technospeak.
