If you are a regular reader you know I don’t usually write reviews of other sites. I also don’t accept payment for reviews, so this is review is completely “unsponsored.” I’ve never corresponded with the site’s owner, Brian Lee and he has no knowledge that I am writing this review.
The site I’d like you to visit today is Genius Types. I don’t know how I have missed the site for so long, but it’s a natural fit for readers of Lazy Man and Money. He discusses his Passive Income, which is much like my alternative income. He is clear to make the point that his passive income is not completely passive, so one can do an apples to apples comparison between the two. As a bonus, he breaks his passive income sources down, while I’ve been a little secretive about my sources to date.
The more I read his writing the more I find we have in common. As an example, I wrote, Fifteen Things I’d like to say to High School Lazy Man and he wrote, What I’d Tell Myself if I Were 18 Again. I actually enjoyed his post more than my own. His ideas are much more general and applicable to his readers.
He’s got some great unique ways to make relatively impressive passive income. I particularly enjoy passive income with Revver and his candy machine money.
It’s not a place where you’ll learn about investing, Roth IRA’s and 401Ks, but I imagine it will be very helpful for those that enjoy the alternative income side of Lazy Man and Money.
I do paid posts for some extra cash and I agree by no way are they passive income. I just found your blog today and it looks like I will be here a while reading your posts.
BeachBum
great find!
Good blog but the posting frequency is a little light, although the question always is whether you should post daily even if you don’t have something to say…
I tried posting twice a day (similar to billion-time-per-day poster Trent at The Simple Dollar) and it’s exhausting. I guess once every four days works for some people if they do quality posts, but as a new subscriber I might drift away without more frequent posting. Otherwise a great blog, though – I really liked his ‘tone’ and writing style.
Nice find. I just “wasted” about an hour there. :)
I agree with Brip Blap, the content is very interesting but I would like to see a more frequent posting schedule. However, I will add it to my blog morning routine as it won’t take much time when Brian does not post ;-)
I was surprise that he was able to reach so many page viewed/rss feed/income since he is not posting on a daily basis. I guess popularity is not always linked to a high posting schedule.
thx for the find!
I have not been around in a long time, but I must say, the site looks very nice. Congrats on getting to 1000 RSS readers (well, not quite, but I doubt it is far off).
Just one thing though, when I was doing Money Blog Site, you said you didn’t like the Adsense in the posts, but I see you have gone to the dark side !!
Congrats buddy, and thanks for all the help you gave me when I was first starting out.
Great find, I have added him to my favorites. Thanks!
Quite finding these great sites! My bookmarks scroll down for three minutes now- damn!
I very much enjoyed this site. Thanks! I am hoping to be singing the linkworth priases myself soon. So far to go, but I only just signed up…
He seems to like it better than text-link-ads. I am not so sure… yet.
The site is great! I think it’s got a big draw with some of the passive income techniques it talks about so I’m sure we will visit the site often to track progress!
