Financial Fixit Friday

October 14, 2011 by Lazy Man 4 Comments

Rather than ready an article from me today, I’d like you to focus on fixing one thing in your financial life. It could be moving that old 401K to an IRA. It could be switching to that cheap cell phone plan as I did yesterday.

My only suggestion is to do something that you’ve been putting off. Have you rebalanced that retirement account lately? Have you reviewed how much you are paying for car insurance or cable?

I’ve got a few items specific to my business to take care of and today is the day that I at least get one of them done. Join me and we’ll get it done together.

Here’s one, I’ve been putting off learning salsa for the longest time. Today I’m trying to get my girlfriend to teach me. I know it has nothing to do with personal finance but it’s something.

I was thinking of including non-financial things as well. I thought that might not fit well with the blog though. For example, I was going to do some backing up of media: music, movies, and pictures online, why I tackle some financial paperwork today.

You’re lucky my wife doesn’t read my blog ;-). You are making me look bad.

Take a chip, dip it in the salsa, eat. It’s a surprisingly easy skill to master.

Strangely enough. It is exactly what I just recently did – revisited my accounts, published the progress and created various scenarios for the future.

I have to confess have been putting it off for last 7-8 months. The market performance has been the most disappointing recently…

    Thank you for the encouragement.
