Stop! Consider Lending Club Instead of Prosper.

If you are here, you probably expected to go to the peer-to-peer site Prosper. I have been with Prosper since the beginning and invested a few thousand dollars. Unfortunately, the defaults started to pile up. The math is difficult, but I'm not sure I'm going to recoup my original investment.

On the other hand, I've been a member of Lending Club for May of 2008 and the returns have been good. In fact it was my best investment in 2008.

If you are considering peer-to-peer lending, I highly suggest Lending Club over Prosper
