I don’t think they’ll trade Ellsbury – it simple doesn’t make sense. Crisp’s salary is under $4M and Ellsbury’s to be the league minimum (I would think), so they can carry both players – especially if they use Ellsbury as a 4th OF like Wily Mo Pena. You are right that Crisp is signed through 2009, but he’s relatively cheap getting to around 5.75M that year.

I look around, and I can’t seem to find the thing the Red Sox would trade Ellsbury for. It’s easy to say another starter, but I think they feel that Lester coming back is going to be like getting another starter. The bullpen has been strong and the hitting is good in all areas (for the most part) except for Julio Lugo, and I don’t see him going anywhere until the end of the season at a minimum.

Don’t be too surprised if Ellsbury gets traded in the near future. He’s a lot easier to move than Crisp, who is signed through 2009. (Or maybe 2008 with a club option?)

I guess it all depends on what you blog about. Sometimes you just don’t want these two lives to intercept. And not to mention, if you’re in a club and a girl asks you “what do you do for fun?”, it’s not really the sexiest thing to say “I blog”.

I don’t know how you blog anonymously… For me the benefits of blogging out in the open have far outweighed being closeted. And I fully expect to gain even more as my blog is finally starting to hit stride in it’s 8th month of existence.

Not to mention everyone who knows me knows I am a big dork. So talking about blogging is actually an excellent conversation starter.
