Happy Thanksgiving and a Black Friday Update

Comment First

I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. It doesn't feel like Thanksgiving to me, because for the first time in my life it's 82 degrees outside.

I logged into BlackFriday.info and found that several merchants have some deals available online. I picked up some Portable USB items - one 1GB and one 2GB. For the $15 or so total after rebate it wasn't a bad deal.

I decided to use the CircuitCity GiftCard that I have. It would allow me to use the store credit to make the big purchase before rebates and then collect the rebate check as much more liquid cash. Overall it would be a good deal - if CircuitCity allowed it. The card says you can use it online, and when I tried it asked for a PIN. There was no PIN anywhere, so I did a quick Google search and I apparently I needed to exchange my card at a store to get one with a PIN. Well that's not going to help me on Thanksgiving getting a special. I think I'll try to stop in some time after I get the product and see if they can do a payment switch. I'm sure they'll tell me that I can't.
