Free Red Sox ticket

Comment First

Work offered me a free Red Sox ticket the other day. I'm a fairly big fan if I haven't said it before. I may have caught about 80% of the games on TV this year . Of course I'm usually doing other things, it would be terribly unproductive otherwise. Hmmm, but I am Lazy...

So for the first time in 2 years or so I went to a Red Sox game. The tickets weren't great and I was pretty surprised that they were $45 for what were essentially the bleachers. There's been plenty of type used to complain about Red Sox ticket prices without me adding to it, but I'll just say that's the reason I don't go more often.

I ended up picking up a cheap burrito before the game, and only getting a couple of beers at the game. All it all, something that could have cost me about $100 (if I were to eat and drink there), wound up to be about $20. It felt great to see the Sox win in person again, but the cherry on top was that I didn't have to pay a whole month of cable, Internet, and phone access to do it.
