Alternative Income Streams - July 2008
The calendar flips and it’s time to reflect on my alternative income from last month. Executive summary: Not as good as last month, but more sustainable.
This was the first time in a couple of months that I didn’t have $500 from Revolution Media Exchange referrals to factor in. I knew this was going to happen so it wasn’t exactly unplanned.
The other disappointment came from the Forbes Network. I’m so disappointed that I’m not even going to link to them. They contacted me last November to be a part of their advertising network. They said that […] -
Alternative Income Streams - June 2008
Due to my recent vacation, I was unable to compile numbers of my alternative from May until today. So while I typically like to get this out on the first or second day of the month, here we are in the 9th day.
Once again, my alternative income continues it’s roller coaster ride. It almost seems to want to stay in a narrow range from $1500 to $2000. This month it was up slightly to $1,543.10. As always, this is after taxes and expenses.

Alternative Income Streams - May 2008
It’s time once again to update my Alternative Income. For the first time in a few months, I actually made more money that the previous month.

However, because I bought a logo I’m in love with from Lost Spots, I have to factor in that cost. I’m choosing to amortize those costs over some months. By the way, if you are looking for a logo design and […] -
Alternative Income Streams - April 2008
I’m a little late with the report this month. My pseudo April Fools article about buying a tank had priority. I call it pseudo April Fools, because I honestly would like to own a tank someday. I have a pile of other frivolous purchases that I’d rather make first.
The second reason I’m a late posting this report is that I’ve taken a part time job. This blog, and it’s success, has directly led to a consulting gig. It’s 20 hours a week. I wish I could say that it’s alternative income, but it’s not. […] -
Defining Alternative Income
Money might not be able to buy us happiness but we sure can’t live without it too. Everyone’s yearning for financial security, to fortify our livelihood and savings. One way that I’m doing this is by looking at my alternative income. What is alternative income, read on to find out.
I caught Moolanomy’s 40 alternative income ideas and resources through my feed-reader this week. It’s a great article with a lot of tips (40 of them obviously). However as I was going through them, I realized that we don’t share the same definition of alternative income. This […]
