I’ll think about the Lazy Man ‘09 Expo in Vegas. That might be a little more timely in ‘13.

Of course, the other blogger would want the same opportunity within your blog.

Best case scenario is that you get some crossover readers who now read both blogs.

Worst case scenario is that people jump ship from one blog to another.

Maybe a once a month sort of thing as a changeup?

I haven’t looked at Wassup and don’t know what advantages it might provide.

Which metric do you measure for traffic? Google Analytics doesn’t match Sitemeter, which doesn’t match Wassup stats. I’ve been keeping an average of the three right now.

I have adopted a posting schedule (which is down at the moment due to the holidays and replaced with a goal setting series) and its really nice to see other pf bloggers with a set schedule. It provides viewers with a sense of what to expect on everyday of the week.

I have done interviews with other pf bloggers but maybe for a blog as established as yours you could interview readers that are in really interesting situations.

As for making the community funner why not try something simple like having a monthly giveaway for who comments the most/provides the most insightful comments.

As for the other stuff, I’ll try to get that in. Sports season died for me for another four months, so I probably don’t have a lot there. I do like to bring everything to a focus on money because I want to stay away from a blog where the posts are “here’s a cute thing that my cat did last night.” So those will still say on the weekends. (And for what it’s worth, they do bring in search traffic since personal finance search terms are pretty competitive).

Personally I like reading your posts about what you call “some financial thought that came into my head” and the sport stuff etc, so please don’t knock that on the head entirely. It’s a lot better than the bland boring content on a lot of money blogs. But I understand that those posts may not bring you the search engine traffic and what have you. I like the guest posts idea, and think you should add some interviews into the mix, whether of readers or whomever.
