I went to a wedding at the Hale Koa once. Very good value. There is so much natural beauty in Hawaii, who needs to stay in a fancy resort?

Thanks for the tips Fallon. We may try to hit that 12th ave grill tonight. I skipped Diamond Head as everyone else in my party was going at 6AM. It would have been the 4th straight day of seeing a state park, which is fine, but I just wanted to read my book a little and sit by the pool. It seems that sometimes you can get so wrapped up in seeing everything that you need a vacation after your vacation.

If you are still on the island and looking for a cheap place to eat head to Diamond Head Market and Grill; $8-12 for a plate lunch. It is on the bus route to Diamond Head. Energetic souls could walk to it (but it would be a long walk - less so if coming back from Diamond Head!). Kaimuki is another place with lots of restaurants; spoil yourself at 12th ave grill - top notch (but on the higher end of the scale).

Aloha,

Yes, I'll try to once I take some. We are with a pair of a very good amateur photographers who I've been happy to let be the historians. They think it's weird that I brought a computer on vacation, so I won't get those for a bit.
